Resident Evil 4 on the Wiiiii

Can't browse games sites at work and keep forgetting at home!

Does anyone have the scoop on this? If I'm going to buy this game for a third time it's going to have to have new extras at least!

Re: Resident Evil 4 on the Wiiiii

I had a read up on it. It's basically the same with new controls, i think the gfx may be ever so slightly better too. You can however play the alternative player after you complete it or something? but I don't remember the specifics. Everyone says it's really good though, but then they own hundreds of formats of the game already ;) It's just like the sprucing up of the latest prince of persia i would imagine

Re: Resident Evil 4 on the Wiiiii

Thanks Reverend. I loved the GC version so much I nabbed the PS2 version for the extra Ada mission, and it sounds like the Wii extras are just the same as the PS2 version.

So, just better picture quality and remote control. Ah, who am I kidding, I'll probably end up getting it.

Re: Resident Evil 4 on the Wiiiii

I've not got round to playing RE4 yet. I managed to get the ntsc version cheap just before i got my Wii, but since the GC had to lose it's place it was harder to play it. Using the swap method (as my action replay was too old to work) is a fun but challenging method lol and the wii didn't seem to like the ntsc signal done that way, squashing the picture so that i'd have to zoom to make it a reasonable size. And with a rrp of 24.99 i'm bound to get end up getting the wii vesion when it comes down in price a lil sounds like it'll be alot of fun playing it properly for the first time on Wii

Re: Resident Evil 4 on the Wiiiii

You're in for a treat, mate. I just hope you haven't seen too many screenshots so you'll get lots of 'nice' surprises.

I played it so much on GC, when I got the PS2 version I downloaded someone's savegame to access the new extras. There is a significant difference in graphical quality in the two and, as much as I love the PS2 controller, the Gamecube one seemed almost designed to play the Resi games. It'll be interesting to see how the remote works.
