Might cancel mine as there's 220,000 due in for the UK launch - many stores haven't filled their pre-order quotas either and there is talk of a quickish price reduction. Not selling well in North America either.

Re: PS3 Now available to pre order at Amazon UK

reason a lot of UK places arent filling their quotas is due to the rediculous bundles they are offering. Who really wants to be forced into having a few games they have no interest in and an extra pad. It was just as stupid as HMV bumping people who bought a PS3 pre order and a PSP to the front of their lists. US sales only show that the games currently out there are a weak offering but as soon as they get some of the ones we have for launch they will start selling again. First signs of things looking up is in Japan where Virtua Fighter 5 was top selling game last week outselling wii play or sports or something. No PS3 game has even been in top 10 since Wii launch day.

I got these e-mail which really pissed me off. Why do I want a psp included in a PS3 bundle just so I can get a jump in the queue, how much money do they think people have? isn't the PS3 expensive enough? What really annoyed me is that I bought my PSP from HMV online a couple of years back so there's no customer loyalty.

They’ve been on sale for over 6 hours now and they still haven’t sold out lol. I wonder what the eBay market for this will be like, it will be interesting.

Re: PS3 Now available to pre order at Amazon UK

I was saving the £150 vouchers I got from motorola to put towards a PS3 but I doesn't look like they're gonna be any Wii or 360 craze for them, so won't get much moolah for one. They should've had this out for Chrimble ...stupid t**ts!

I'm sure I'll find something else to spend my vouchers on.

Re: PS3 Now available to pre order at Amazon UK

PlayStation 3 is "most pre-ordered console yet", says Play.com

http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=22810

Amazon had these up for pre-order on the 16, 17th and there also due to be back on again today for pre-order. If they were selling like hot cakes why is it taking 7+ hours for them to sell out their pre-orders when the Wii pre-orders sold out in 6 minutes? Also, how much stock does Amazon really have?

Probably because there's higher initial stock 200,000 for the UK alone - apparently.
