has anyone got one of these handhelds???

a GP2x.

i am getting one for xmas and just wanted some opinions

Nope, but they look a bit special. I have a PDA called a "Tapwave Zodiac 2" which does much the same type of thing as this little beauty, but not quite as well. I use it mainly for TomTom navigator sat nav, but I also use it to play DIVX movies (it plays native DIVX/XVID/MPEG4 without any conversion or loss of quality), MP3's and for the excellent Mame32 emulator for the zodiac. I also use the amiga emulator on it.

So if your GP2X is better than the zodiac (which by all accounts it most certainly is), you'll be well happy.

i had a first edition gp2x and i was very impressed but i didnt use it enough so i stuck with my tapwave. The second edition is better though.

got my GP2x yesterday and got about 15mins on it b4 my gf took it of me as it is for Xmas.

this thing is awesome!!!!

got a quick blast at Double Dragon, Bubble Bobble, Pac Land, Rastan, Donkey Kong, Street Fighter.
