PS3

Looking on Play.com they've got the PS3 tab on there and the game prices are £49.99! If they're £49.99 that means they'll be around £59.99 in highstreet shops. That'll be awful if that is what's going to happen.

XBox360 games on play.com are £39.99 and are £49.99 in highstreet shops so I can see the same happening again really. Pretty disappointing.

One up point though. They've gone with the old controlpad style which I think everyone knows now and the controllers will be wireless too. Also the PS3 is black now rather than silver and it looks a lot better black.

I'm pretty sure play sold the 360 games for £49.99 when the console first came out

I was really looking forward to the PS3 but I can't help thinking it's going to be one almighty cock up if it ever gets released. It's a bad sign that they've returned to the old style joypads instead of thos boomerang ones.

I've held off buying a 360 in anticipation of the PS3 but I may have to give in soon. :?

I'm definitely warming to the Wii. I hadn't even acknowledged it in the wake of the 360 and PS3 but the more I see of it, the more I like it.

There's no High Def dvd with it but they have such an awesome track record of setting trends, all of the new stuff will be great.

Plus Zelda...

I am not sure about the Wii, from the little i know the games are going to be very active. If you watch the play demo you'll see what I mean.

http://www.play.com/Games/Wii/NAVSUB/5-/RegionHome.html

These type of games are great for about ten minutes when you first play them and then you get either pretty bored or knackered. I bought a steering wheel many moons ago for gran turismo on the old PS but after a while I wanted the joypad back.

Wii novelty factor is very high but long term I prefer to sit and play for hours not in 10 minute stints at golf or alike and then want a breather. If it comes with more conventional games then I'll think again. If anybody else has other useful links I'd be interested.

Just realised that I'm going on about the Wii...so getting back to the PS3 I think its a case of more of the same but better graphics/speed/etc etc which is what Sony are good at, so at the mo I'll plump for this.
