The demo version of this is available from the PSN store. Having played it extensively in multiplayer mode I'm quite hooked. I've played previous versions of this series on PC but this is easily the smoothest and most playable version I've experienced.
The basic premise of the demo is two sides face each other. One side tries to liberate successive crates of gold while the other side tries to defend them. The defence seem to get as many respawns as they can muster while the attackers get a refresh of the number of respawns after capturing each pair of crates. Defence wins if the attackers run out of respawns and attackers win if they capture all of the gold.
The attackers have the slight advantage in terms of hardware available. For use there are artillery guns, tanks, jeeps, helicopter gunships and boats. Ranking up your character makes various weapons and technical gadgets available.
The user interface allows you to locate your online friends and join their game or you can invite them to your squad. Respawn is available at your base or on living squad members so staying alive in the 'hot' zone can be rewarding.
See you on the battlefield.
