PC problem. Programme not responding....

Hi, I've just got a new PC. Every time I shut it down a window appears saying:
WMS Idle Programme not responding End now.
Does anyone know what this is and how I can get rid of it?
Thanks.

Give this a go. This was the most usefull one I found with a quick google, all the othrs seem to be people going on about how they tried lots of different things, which doesn't really help much

No idea what WMS is, but I would go into MSCONFIG and remove everything from the startup that you dont need. Will speed up start up and shutdown

EDIT: Seems to what the Revs link suggests aswell

Got it.
Thanks for all the help.
It apparently was that NMBgMonitor item that's doing it.
Turned it off and it's sorted!
Thanks again :)

Rev,
MEdia player always throws up silly issues. Advice would be for videos to download VLC - will play any file without needing the correct Codecs. For Music Winamp is fantastic. Both are free downloads and will put you right

Re: PC problem. Programme not responding....

Yes i use mpc for my video playback, which i fine 99% of the time. The problem with media player is that it won't open nor install I get the same error trying both about there being no entry point with DllRegisterServer with regrds to msvcrt.dll. As i very rarely use the main player this doesn't matter too much, butI've had to turn off the video preview in explorer to prevent a BSoD every time a video is selected, and have to avoid web pages that use media player to play videos to prevent browser death.
I've tried everything I can think of (I'm on win2k) from replacing the dll, reinstalling IE, forcing servive pack etc updates, 2k repair files etc, and not a thing makes a difference I've just come to accept that microsofts integration of everything just means that once it's broken, it's broken, and as I don't want to reinstall my oS I just have to live with it ;)
