What is the best DVD player for me?

Good day to you all,

I have recently purchased a Sony HT-SS1000 and need a reasonably good DVD player/recorder to go with it. I have quite a tight budget of £50 but would be interested in recommendations up to around £100.

Is there anyone out there who can help?

Many thanks.
