Bitcomet and Demonoid
Has anyone here used Bitcomet 0.86?
I upgraded from 0.84 to 0.86 (mainly because Bitcomet kept telling me a newer version was available) and couldn't download anything. I uninstalled 0.86 and put 0.84 back on and everything worked fine again. Any ideas what went wrong? I used the default settings for both 0.84 and 0.86, so I would have expected both to work.
Also, if anyone here has a spare invite code for Demonoid, I would be glad to take it off your hands.
Hope someone can help!

I've used Bitornado for the past couple of years with no probs, perhaps you could try that.
 Sorry haven't used Bitcomet before.

Re: Bitcomet and Demonoid
I had a problem with Bitcomet when I got Vista - had to go all the way back to 0.70 to get it to work - you could try that version?

Re: Bitcomet and Demonoid
Azureus for me every time. I like the new Azureus Vuze - gives you lots of legitimate downloads on the front screen, whilst running the standard Azureus 2.5 client under the skin.

I'm on XP and 0.84's working fine for me so I was surprised that 0.86 didn't. I might have a look at Azureus though like Wilko and Keyser suggested as it sounds a bit more stable.

It's just the standard Azureus client, with a "skin" with featured legitimate content, and allows you to browse movie trailers and other free downloads. Its pretty cool.
