32" LCD TV advice please? Wall brackets?

I'm soon to order the Toshiba 32WLT66 LCD TV for the bedroom. My beautiful panny TX32PD50 CRT is not even 2 years old but we need room for new bedroom furniture and the panny is occupying space earmarked for the wifes dressing table. If anyones after an excellent panny crt tv, let me know

I need advice on what sort of wall bracket I need, who makes decent ones and how much I need to pay for a decent one. Not to expensive please

Re: Wall bracket for a 32" LCD TV advice please?

My mate has this TV (I have just ordered the 37" ) and got his from Maplin, think it was this one and obviously can be picked up in store.

I am pretty sure this is VESA 200, although check in advance (dont wanna be responsible for your new TV droppig to the floor!!), and also watch the weight!

A few more:

Nice one KevD. I take it your mate likes it then?

All this bracket stuff is confusing but thinking of going for this one.

Re: 32" LCD TV advice please? Wall brackets?

Are there any other good 32" LCD displays around the £600-700 mark that do a good job on SD pics and DVD upscaling? Would like a couple of hdmi connections and 1 component and a couple of scarts. Not that fussed about PC input.

It's looking like Toshiba 32WLT68 Vs. JVC LT-32DX7

I'll give it a few days to see if any other contenders arrive!

I've just requested a price match with John Lewis for the Toshiba 32WLT68 for £799. Empire Direct have it for this price but JL offer 5 year guarantee.

Got to wait 2-3 days now

Re: 32" LCD TV advice please? Wall brackets?

I looked at the 68, but I thought it was alot more for things I dont need. I will be using with a HDMI amp, so the better Audio and the extra HDMI are not needed.

So the real benifit is the Contrast ratio on it, 3500 compared to 1000.

From what I have seen on the 32 inch one at both HD-DVD, SD Sky and Upscaled SD-DVD via a Tosh (I'm sure your Oppo would be much better), it is excellent, I am just hoping the 37 inch will match it

Re: 32" LCD TV advice please? Wall brackets?

I looked at the Samsung LE32R74BDX, Philips 32PF7531D and the Toshiba 32WLT66 and the PQ wasn't too good, I know they never are in shops, but these weren't too hot.

I'm getting more and more confused as I only really wanted to spend £600. My Oppo will be downstairs with all my other A/V stuff. This set will be upstairs connected to SD Sky+ and my pioneer DVD-585 player. So what I really need at the mo is a set that will do wonders with standard definition programmes and upscale my dvds.
