INCOMPATIBLE DISC

Just wondered if anyone has a solution to my problem.
I ordered Superman Returns from CDWOW before Christmas and when I tried to play it on my home cinema set up I got an incompatible disc message.
I contacted CDWOW who very promptly sent me a new disc - but lo and behold it wouldn't play either. I've cleaned the laser but all to no avail.
What disturbed me most was that both discs play perfectly on a friends DVD player.
The discs will not play on my son's playstation.

Anyone out there with any suggestions?

Re: INCOMPATIBLE DISC

What region is the dvd? sounds like you have a region 1 or 3 dvd and your player is probably only a region 2...

Wow. i think we all take this for granted now that everyone knows this stuff.
You need to find the "hack" for your player (if it is a region coding problem) to enable it to play all regions. most players have them that you input with your remote.

Re: INCOMPATIBLE DISC

The disc is region 2 and the player is set for multi-region.
The player is a Sky badged Home Cinema System.
I have never had any problems before playing any other dvd's or cd's or data discs with photos on them.
