Any current deals on Sky-HD boxes?

Just wondered if anyone knew of any deals on Sky-HD boxes current or on the way? Don't want a 'buy tv and get HD 1/2 price' deals though.

Anyone got any inside info?

I read yesterday on thedvdforums that they were doing the HD boxes half price (£150).

Don't remember what the conditions were though.

£150 sounds like a price I'd pay. I'll have another search.

Monkeychops where are you?

Re: Any current deals on Sky-HD boxes?

I'd sooner pay for the hardware at 'cost' at not be tied to Sky's 'extra' per month. AFAIK the extra £10/month for the minimal HD content is excessive. However you get 'free' Sky+ PVR facilities (which IMO should be 'free' free given the customer would have paid a large amount for the Sky+/HD box and Sky can't be making much/if any of a loss of the Sky+ boxes).

From what I've seen the BBC HD service (in preview mode at least) is stunning and the Sky stuff is mostly just 'better'.
