Show me your home-cinema!

It's always interesting to see how other people make up their home-cinema.
I think we can all agree that the equipment does make a difference, some people just don't find the difference is worth the money ;)

For sound, I use Yamahas YSP-1000, which I find gives me a pretty good pseudo-surround sound.

The TV is a 40" Samsung LE40M61

The player is a Denon 2930:

Re: Show me your home-cinema!

Well , i used to have a surround sound system , but all the wires done my head in so i got rid of it.

I now have a set of tannoy 630 floor speakers , a panosonic amp, Yamhada dvd player £30 from amazon much better than my expensive player and a lovely epsom projector to watch films on.
I only brought the projector to watch the world cup on and i got it cheap and planned to get rid of it after the football was over , but i was so impressed by the pricture and the size (i can project onto my 15foot wall no problem) i had to keep it , all thanks to SMASHED.

World cup beer and projector in the garden , was my best summer

will add pictures when my camera is fixed

Re: Show me your home-cinema!

Glad that you are still enjoying it DW. Projectors make DVDs really worth watching. I wont watch a decent DVD for the 1st time unless its on a PJ.

What does the yamaha YSP-1000 sound like? I've heard good reviews of it.

We'll, it's 42 directional speakers, so in my livingroom it sounds a lot like surround. Except maybe easier to float (make sounds come from an area instead of a speaker).
