For those of you that use AVG today see's the end of version 7.5's updates and they seemingly want you to move upto Version 8.0.

Initially this looks like it's only available on a 30 day trial for whereafter you then have to pay.

This is not the case as the Free version is available but is buried in their website:-

I installed this on one XP PC at home last night and it's as good as it ever was, just need to try it out on the Vista PC now although a work colleague says it's fine on Vista.

if you are on V8 turn off that damn link checker thing, it scan every link on a page and precaches it incase you want to visit it and it`s a massive bandwidth drain and hammers web servers using hit masking
