Does anyone know how I can view emails received at my Microsoft Outlook work email address on my home PC. A guy at work used to pick them up via his hotmail/msn but I don't know how he did it.

It depends whether your work allow it.

Microsoft Exchange Server (the software that runs on most mail servers) has built-in webmail functionality to pick up your email from a web browser. But it needs to be enabled by your work.

Speak to your IT department and ask them for the webmail address if it exists. Unfortunately, they are the only guys who are likely to know.

Or he could have set up an external POP retrieval in his yahoo or hotmail account to receive emails from other accounts.

I do this in Gmail - it allows you to receive email from lots of different accounts (such as work) into one location in gmail.

But to do this you would need to know the username and password and IP address/Hostname of your mail server. And of course the mail server would need to be accessible outside of your work LAN.
