Well. The managers changed and nothing else has. Bit like Back to the Future.

Last night was one of the most clueless performances I've seen and up there with McClarens best.

No passion, confidence, pace, height/strength up front. Players played out of position. Hoofing it to the smallest player on the pitch. Strange/weird formations, crap substitutions and better players left out the squad.

John Terry. Why is he even in the team let alone captain - crap defending for the first goal allowing baros to turn.

It could be another long depressing season.

Having said all that we'll probably beat Croatia now.

Thankfully I was at work and missed the game. Sounded very disappointing.

What a performance from the boys. Not enjoyed an England game so much in ages. It finally looks like Capello's getting is message across. Rooney and Walcott were particularly good.

Their goal shouldn't have counted and we should've had a few more but a great result. First home defeat for Croatia :)

Yeah, great game!

I missed most of the first half waiting for my setanta subs to activate - but caught the second half. Was very impressed.

There were a few shaky moments in the first half where I thought 'here we go again' but the team seemed to just shake it off and knuckle down to pull out this perfomance. Hoping it's not a one off and there's encouraging signs to say it won't be.

I'm still not convinced they'll do anything of note. Having said that it was a good "team" performance and we took the chances we had thanks to some Owen-esque clinical finishing from Walcott.

Don't know why folks are so impressed with Rooney though. I thought he looked better than normal as he wasn't trying to do everyone elses job for them and concetrated on his own. Thats the standard he should be playing at and there is room for a lot of improvement from him.

I think the key to qualifying now is the away games in Belarus and Ukraine.
