Clueless performance stemming from the midfield.

Lampard was abysmal, Downing put in one decent cross, Carrick hardly saw the ball and Gerrard tried but is wasted out wide. All four were far to far away from the centre forwards and provided little service.

Fair play to Macedonia in they were well organised, maybe a bad day at the office but Lampard needs dropping, Gerrard moving back inside and get Wright-Philips or some other natural wide player Lennon? to run at the full backs or people who can cross a decent ball - Beckham and Barry perhaps?

Need a good result on Wednesday now.

Very true, and we're still happy tonight . A great performance from the lads. 9 out of 9 points, an excellent start to the group. If we can take something from the Ukraine on Wednesday then we'll be looking quite strong. Glasgow was a good place to be last night
