Well seeing as everyone else has a thread for their team, thought I may as well start one for Man Utd .

So Carrack on his way in, a bit over-priced at £15-£18m if you ask me..

Who will follow?

I would like to see Torres come, he would be a great addition to the squad and fill the boots of Ruud (who I am sorry to see leave).

So who else should we sign?

I'd like to see Fergie put faith in his youngsters, and play Rossi etc. Why not ? They looked good against Celtic the other night. And you'd imagine with the signing of Carrick he'd play Smith (when he's fit again) in his natural position - striker. I like Smith (he's a good Rangers fan ) but he does not have the tackling ability or temprament to be playing the holding role in midfield for anyone.

Losing Van Nistelrooy will be a massive blow though. He'd guarantee you 20+ goals a season in the Premiership, and players like that are few and far between.

I think Cole is a done deal with Chelski, Buffon would be a good signing but he wants to stay at Juve.

I reckon that Defoe would be a good signing for us but it appears as Fergie doesn't want him..

Saw in the paper today we were linked with Villaereal's midfielder Marcos Senna who we could get for around £4m and argie Mascherano who Corinthians want £25m for although we will offer around £16m.

Also we've been linked with Kuszczak (west brom keeper) but I think they want Rossi on loan, so looks like that deal will only go through if we sign another striker, hopefully Torres.

hopefully we will get Senna who looks a quality player, don't be surprised if we don't buy another striker!!

I think you are being extremely optimistic there.

The word is that Man Utd have no money. The days where they would spend £30million on a player are long gone thanks to the Glazers.

Is it a coincidence that the announcement that they had purchased Carrick came immediately after the deal for Van Nistelrooy went through?

This shows that they had to sell before they could buy. I think Torres will come - but I don't think there will be any more money in the pot for any more new players after that.

I think Man Utd will struggle to keep pace with Liverpool this year - my prediction for the top 5 would be:

1) Chelsea (again)
2) Liverpool
3) Man Utd
4) Arsenal
5) Spurs or Newcastle

well apparently we had £25-£30m to spend so with Ruud going that pays for Carrick, so we should still have the original amount to spend. Will be around £20m for Torres and £4m for Kuszczak so we won't have any cash to buy anyone else.

Would also have about 5 strikers Torres, Saha, Rooney, Solskajer, Smith and also Rossi who would be allowed to go out on loan maybe for only 6 months so that he can get a bit more experience and come back to us for the last few months of the season.
