Joey Barton has been jailed for 6 months for assault.

If it was up to me, I would terminate his Newcastle United contract with immediate effect. Surely no other club can touch him now?

If i were in Newcastle shoes I'd dump him right on his ass. You dont see everyday people having their jobs kept open for them if they go in for a stretch, so why should his? I'll certainly say there will be clubs chasing him after he gets out. footballs too money and fame orientated for something like that slip past in the future. Guess we'll have to see what happens
