So what are everyone's thoughts on the ending?

I must admit that at first I thought it was a bad d/l but when the credits started rolling I was like WTF ! is that it? But now that I have watched the end scene a few times I have begun to appreciate the brave ending David Chase decided to bow out with.

Been reading on other forums and alot of peeps think Tony got whacked when the scene cut to black....
Interesting link here, guy goes into maybe too much detail but some of it makes sense and it's hard to argue some of his points.

Loved the tension build up in the final moments couldn't decide if they were all going to get whacked in the restaurant or Meadow get hit by another car crossing the road. My heart was racing in those final moments.

Just glad Phil got what was coming to him.

And what a song to end with.

I thought it was a brilliant ending to a brilliant series.

Typical Sopranos,never following the trend to neatly wrap things up but to leave us guessing!

That final scene was nerve wracking,i was glued to the tv,waiting for something bad to happen,i like how David Chase did it and left it open for us viewers to intepret it in our own way.

I think that Tony didn't get clipped,it looked like he was going to and maybe he did but i'd like to think that he's still alive,carrying on running the business and dealing with his family,maybe i'm wrong,who knows?

I'm really glad Phil got his comeuppance too,what a horrible man!

Loved the scenes with Pauly and the cat and Pauly's last scene showing how nothing has changed for him,sitting outside Satriale's with his sun trap,all alone and still paranoid,i felt sorry for him and then saw the cat slinking along and laughed!

One thing's for sure,i'm really going to miss The Sopranos,it'll leave a big hole in my tv viewing!
