is it just me or does this site seem less and less busy every day? I last logged on over 1 and 1/2 hours ago and there's only been 2 posts in that time. There seems to be a lack of posts in the bargains section. Like i posted in the Some Mothers thread, it was originally posted over at HotUKDeals at 9:44am and only found its way on here after 6PM! thats a full 8 hours. I imagine a lot of people could have missed out on the deal during this time. Is there a reason for the sudden drop in traffic?

I also thought so. Hope goes back to normal maybe it is just because people are on vacation.

It's just you. Traffic now is on average higher than it was on the old site.

However, I agree that people seem averse to posting bargains, despite us getting thousands of visitors every day.

Yeah, well, nobody is stopping DW from posting. It was his choice to walk away.

Yes, I am well aware of the figures.

I am also well aware that the google analytics figures for the last 6 weeks of CDandDVDBargains are way below the first 4 weeks of HDandDVDBargains.

So it is a myth that traffic is lower. We are getting between 50 and 100 new posts on an average day.

That still puts us as 4th highest volume bargain site behind HUKD, MSE and DVDF. Which isn't a bad situation to be in.

It's all relative, really. My forum only has 79 active members at present and yet we had 395 new posts on Thursday.

I am only pointing out the guest to member ratio.

So while site traffic on the whole may be up, I suspect that the number of 'leechers' and freeloaders is also up. (Which is also a by-product of being better search engine friendly.)

If there is no incentive for non-regulars and guests to post on these forums in order to get the bargains, then yes site traffic will be up and the number of guests will also be higher as well.
