New rules regarding signatures
Now that we have moved to a brand spanking new site, we need to lay down some basic ground rules with regards to what is acceptable as a signature or avatar.
1) Large "in your face" signatures will not be allowed. There are no hard and fast rules about size, but just think about it before uploading. If they are deemed to be unreasonable, they will be removed.
2) Large "animated" gifs. A number of users had animated gifs in excess of 1mb as their avatar/signatures. This is no longer allowed, because it slows down those users who are using slower internet connections. It also affects broadband users who have a download cap - they are potentially paying for your huge GIF.
3) Offensive graphics. Any picture deemed to be offensive in any way will be immediately removed.
Thanks for your co-operation.
