OK, the new site skin is now live. So what do you think?

Yeah, everything that was here before should still be here. We have tried wherever possible to keep things in approximately the same place.

A few things that were "broken" on the old site have now been fixed - "quick reply" and colours in posts for example. We have also responded to criticisms about the logo and header - we have binned Max (because nobody liked the poor guy) and reduced the overall size of the banners at the top of the screen.

Overall, I think it works well.

I'd like to see the the return of the link on the front page that takes you directly to all the new forum posts though if possible.

Also, the text size of forum posts should probably be slightly larger by default.

Yes, I agree with that it is a bit small. I'll see if we can tweak that shortly

That link is now available at the top of the page in the welcome block:







It doesn't yet show the number of new posts, that will follow soon.

Looking good, although the logo looks a little small and what does it mean exactly? High Def Bargains? I think next to the logo you need bigger text reading "HD AND DVD BARGAINS"

HDB is actually the shortened name that Stevietee and I use when discussing sites, and it's sort of stuck. We say "HDB" for this site, "CBM" for cheapbluraymovies.co.uk and other acronyms for other sites that we have involvement with.

I quite like it - it's nice and simple and less of a mouthful than "HDandDVDBargains".

The idea of the logo is to give as much space as possible to the content, rather than the old cartoony logo. It's much more professional. Maybe increasing the size of the site name isn't a bad idea, we can have a play around and see if we can come up with something.
