The new site looks better (Wordpress I assume?) - I've always disliked vBulletin portals. Not sure about the [new] forum... it needs better visual integration although that comment that can easily be applied to this site also :)
Finally, I have no real interest in Bluray so I don't really 'need' HD & DVD Bargains e-mails to draw my attention to the site ;)

Hey, I absolutely agree. I think that this site has too many forums now, but we need a consensus of opinion before we start removing forums. It's just too big and cumbersome, and unmanageable at the moment.
Lets just make something crystal clear - HD and DVD Bargains will always be the number 1 priority. In fact, we are working very hard towards improving the "visual" complaints that people have raised over the past 12 months. All I can say is "watch this space".
I think there was absolutely a need to have a dedicated site for blu ray - even if only to improve search engine rankings for this site, as it is closely tied in and linked.
So, the bottom line is this - 90% of our effort is concentrated on HDandDVDBargains. It is, and will always be, the most important part of our "portfolio". And we still have further plans to develop HDandDVDBargains further. But lets face it, that has to be a two-way effort - there doesn't seem to be much member input lately does there? If you know what's "broken" as you put it, then please, tell us, because I'm not sure.
As far as the "email" goes, we only send emails when we genuinely feel there is something to say. But we can't please everybody all of the time. If you feel we have misused the newsletter, then feel free to unsubscribe. However, I feel we give a very good service with our newsletter.
