Yep, big time apparently MG, they are stopping anything from Play and checking it one by one as Play only pay the UK VAT and not the Irish rate so anything over 22 euro is getting hit with the VAT and a €5 admin fee.

In fairness up and till last month I've never been caught for anything customs wise ever but doesnt surprise me they've finally copped on. Nope but on the positive side, it will help me spend less and make me watch more of the still sealed pile :wink:

Wow, that's like an import limit of £14 something :eek: And I thought the £18 limit was crap!

That's it AFAIK. Warehouse titles are typically shipped from the UK, as most their warehouse partners are located there. Type 1 articles (CDs, Giftcards etc) seem to come mainly from Hong Kong. Adult titles come from Netherland (I haven't shopped enough to know if they have different locations on adult items). Type 2 items (DVDs) come from: Singapore, Hong Kong, Luxemburg (Most of mine come from Luxemburg).

This applies to the region of the world I live in. I have no idea how it works if you live in the UK.

There we go the oracle of CDWOW clears that one up, still will have to be careful from now on with anything over 22 euro - as doesnt seem like there's any type of corrollation between .ie/net coming from Luxembourg etc.
