DVD Pacific Lost item??

Just having a read through the Dvd Pacific FAQ as my order for reservoir dogs which was posted Oct 11th still hasnt arrived. (Had another order from them sent 2 days before which arrived ages ago )

Their FAQ states that unless you select the courier option (which is 5 times the cost of regular USPS) they are not liable for items lost if sent by surface mail - has this always been the case or has anyone found otherwise and had them issue a replacement order recently? I vaguely remember them re-sending something to me which did finally turn up after about 7 weeks but this would have been well over a year ago?

Quote:
Q: What happens if a shipment is lost?
A: If sent by courier you are fully insured for lost shipments up to the value of $100 automatically at no extra charge and above that also to declared value if separate insurance applied to your invoice. Please e-mail orders@dvdpacific.com if you wish to have full insurance applied to any courier shipment. If sent by USPS there is no insurance option and no tracking capability. DVD Pacific cannot be held responsible for items lost within the postal system although we will assist you if this happens as best we are able. Presently the reports for lost mail shipments are negligible so this is a safe manner for you to order but with no guarantees. No shipment can be assumed lost until the expiration of 30 business days from time of shipment for Courier, Domestic Priority and Media Mail and International Priority Air Mail. 45 business days for International Surface Mail. If you are unfortunate enough to have not received a shipment past these mandatory wait times as specified above then please contact our Returns & Replacements Department on returns@dvdpacific.com and advise of non delivery. All reports for undelivered shipments must be received within 90 days of departure from our warehouse. DVD Pacific accepts no liability for lost shipment reports after the expiration of 90 days.

I've not seen Reservoir Gogs? is it any good?

DVDPacific normally deliver items within 7 to 14 days but occassionally I've waited 4-5 weeks for a dvd but they have eventually arrived.

Sam, it's always worth sending them an e:mail, the worst they can say is that they won't send out a replacement. I wonder if anyone else hasn't recieved theres yet from Pacific.

:-D :-D sorry about the typo's - my keyboard has gone a bit faded (thats my excuse anyway and I'm sticking to it ) and I keep forgetting the new spellcheck function!!

Ah, will have to hang in and be patient - would have well expected it to arrive by now,I seem to be getting alot of delays on stuff arriving from the US recently but was wondering more so was this a new policy by Pacific that they dont seem to replace items sent via surface mail as set me off worrying more!!

I've recieved mine from Pacific too, must be over a week ago. I've never really had a look at Pacific's policy before, but if your worried i'd just send them e:mail Sam.

You'd make a great agony aunt Tracey

Yeah if MG got hers already from them - will drop them a line so and see what they say (although chances are its wait for 45 days to be up :|)

Re: DVD Pacific Lost item??

thanks.

I recieved mine as well, but if it was me, I would personally leave it a while longer, (just because i'm lazy ;)) eventually I would send them an e:mail, i'm sure they would just say that you have to wait 45 days or however many it is, before they'll do something.
