The 10% discount "preorder & prepay" voucher has gone!
Ouch - there are some things which can be had for cheaper (if only bt a few pence) but whilst I understand Axel changing site design etc, I don't think it's a great move to change pricing scheme, especially to one that makes most things more expensive...
Sad to say I won't be ordering from them as much, and glad I got my (pre)orders in when I did for the Complete West Wing and Complete Six Feet Under - so glad I won't be charged the new prices either!!
Have never really ordered very much from Axel anyway but they are a very good company, would have to agree even if the prices are a little lower, it does put you off adding a p+p charge and I'd say the 10% voucher was a big incentive for people on pre-orders.
Just tried to access axel, their site must be geting a revamp as well..

WHAT!.. STILL DOWN!?
Well, yes. The site is currently under maintenance. Unfortunately this has proven to be a little bit more complicated than we initially expected. We really do apologize for the inconvenience!
We're doing all that we can to bring the shop back to normal service ASAP! But we want to be perfectly sure that everything is working 100 % before launching so please bear with us. We're hoping to be back online sometime during the weekend.
Our shipping department is working as normal! Stock is still received and your outstanding orders are sent as usual!
They seem to have reduced prices a bit, instead of rounding to the nearest pound... There are some good bargains to be had, even though P&P does put me off:

Definately cheaper and was tempted to order a dvd and a boxset but shipping to the UK is now £7 for a 2 discer and TV boxset, they don't reduce the shipping costs if buying 2 things.

Yeah - I think it's a pity as a reduced postage for buying multiple items would definitely attract me to buy more stuff... I know on their website they say that they don't want to offer incentives to buy more, but surely that's what I want - an incentive to buy more ;)
I think I'll email them about it and see what they say :)
