Playtrade - Buy from 3rd parties via PLAY.COM

Playtrade allows you to buy new, used and collectable products from third-party sellers, called PlayTraders.

When you order a PlayTrade item, Play.com processes the transaction and passes on the delivery details to the seller, who then ships the item directly to you. Once the seller confirms that the item has been posted, we credit the seller. This ensures that the transaction is safe, fast and easy.

Who are the PlayTraders? - They are established traders in their own right with a proven record of providing great customer service. When looking at the products offered by a PlayTrader, you can see more information about the seller, including where items will be posted from and detailed customer feedback, by clicking on their seller name.

Can I become a PlayTrader? :? Currently no.

Why would anyone use Playtrader? Firstly as mentioned numerous times, the prices are more expensive than Play itself.

So, maybe you'd order from them when play are out of stock?

Why, when there are so many other internet retailers out there, which will be selling the item cheaper. How often are Play the cheapest for DVDs nowadays? I can't remember the last time I brought a DVD from Play. I think Play are great when it comes to Gadgets, Film Memorabillia in particular  , but DVDs are generally cheaper elsewhere, although, admittedly they have some great bargains now and again like he Jackass boxset (ok, maybe I do remember the last DVD I brought from Play :)).
