TV Milk....Legit DVD Supplier?

In the case of Malcolm in the Middle it's music rights that hold it up... But in the case of eg. Roswell, Fox simply had the creators change them... don't see why the same couldn't be done here
Ah, yeah, the music rights are causing a lot of problems with series, and a lot of them are being changed. I haven't watched Malcolm in quite a while (hoping for DVDs actually) but doesn't the music tie in directly with the action quite a bit?

You would think that the mult-multi-million dollar legal teams at the studios would have had a bit more foresight, wouldn't you?

Well you would hope so, yes! I think it also has something to do with the contracts being signed too - which is why now they include DVD rights too (you may have seen the slight dig to this in one of the Orange cinema adverts - with the guy mentioning something about not being screwed over on music rights...)...

To be fair to the artists, it may well be they are asked to sign for less money than they now ought to get by their current status... But at the same time, Fox know Malcolm will sell (just like The Simpsons) so I'm sure they would spend more money on music than a less popular title (Roswell)... So realistically the only way I see Fox not coughing up is if the artists are pushing their luck with the amounts they ask for... And in the end it's detrimental to the band in question - eg. I love Led Zeppelin but I think they are a bunch of ******s for charging hand over fist for Stairway to Heaven - I know they can charge what they want, as it's a very popular song, but it just screams of arrogance on the part of the band (if they hold the bar so high noone can jump it)...

I'd never buy that excuse, maybe if they sold the sets on at cost (or for the smallest of profits), i wouldnt see such a big problem in it if it was the case that the show would never be released, but when they are making probably £90+ on the sets, that's when the line is crossed.

The biggest problem you'll find with the sets is you dont know what kind of quality your going to get - they'll be taken from tv airings (most probably they've just downloaded them themselves), and the quality can vary greatly.

I'd never pay £100 for it, but then again i could download the entire series within a few days myself anyway.
