VD Pacific - CC Fraud (again)

*DVD Pacific

I tried to use my CC yesterday - It was declined. I tried again today and hit the same wall. I phoned up my CC company and they told me both cards registered had been cancelled due to fraudulent looking transactions, namely 'napstar.com' and 'creditcardsonline.com' - Both American.

This is frustrating because my credit card isn't one where I can view transactions online; I have to wait for my monthly statement. I'm not working and I don't think many credit cards would accept me right now...

There's something very fishy about DVD Pacific. I've used them quite a few times over the years and most times nothing has gone amiss but, for the second time, my credit card has had fraudulent transactions appear just after paying them for something. There seems to be a leak somewhere - It might be a plan to be careful with them. :/

I remember there was a lot of talk a few years ago about DVD Pacific leaking details; that's why it made me so concerned that this had happened twice very soon after ordering from them. It's a real shame because, aside from them changing shipping after orders are placed, they're probably the best new R1 import retailer around.

I remember that happening before, and it put me off buying from DVD Pacific for quite a while, which was particularly annoying since they often had the best price for the DVD I wanted. Thanks for the heads up - I'll keep a close eye on my credit cards for the next wee while since I've recently used them. Hope for us all another non-DVD site was the source

I hope everything gets sorted out OK with your card issuer and you aren't out of pocket for anything.

I was stung for £500+ last time this happened but thankfully got the money back but it's the inconvenience of it all. I'm off to check my credit card statement!
