What Anime have you just watched?

It seems like there's a lot of Anime fans on this forum so wondered what everyone was watching. I've just d/loaded up to episode 24 of Death Note TV series, this looks amazing so will be watching this in the next couple of days.

Re: What Anime have you just watched?

I've got most of Death Note still to watch, plus the first live action movie. It's great, but lately I've been smitten by Mai Hime. I have no defence, I just like the cuteness.

Watched a few episodes of Death Note now and it's excellent. I saw the live action movie a while back, Death Note: The last name movie's still waiting to be viewed.

Re: What Anime have you just watched?

I've started watching the series again from scratch - saving the movies until I've watched the anime first.

So what are your favourite series, Homer? Mine include:

FLCL
Love Hina
Azumanga Daioh
Haibane Renmei
and, I suppose, Evangelion

Re: What Anime have you just watched?

I think I may leave the 2nd film til I've watched the series.

My fave anime are (in no particular order:

TV series
Cowboy Bebop
Hellsing
Paranoia Agent
Gatchaman
Death Note
Ghost in the Shell SAC

Films
Most Ghibli productions
Ghost in the Shell 1 + 2
Vampire Hunter D
Ninja Scroll
Tokyo Godfathers
Metropolis

Too name but a few (I'm sure I've forgotten some great ones  )

I've got Robotech and Heat Guy J to watch next. Also want to catch some of the Black Jack stuff and Ninja Scroll TV series. Intrigued by Hellsing Ultimate as I love Hellsing so wonder how they've revamped and remade it.

Re: What Anime have you just watched?

I'm interested in seeing the new Hellsing OVA too. I liked the start of the TV series but got a bit bored about halfway in. I haven't read the manga but apparently the OVA is closer to that.

Notice you've got Bebop in your faves but not Champloo. Did you not enjoy it? I thought the hip-hop angle would make me hate it, but after the first couple of eps you don't even notice it. I need to try Bebop properly sometime - I checked out a few eps but couldn't get into it for some reason.

It's hard finding the time to watch all these shows - I've got Ergo Proxy and Eureka Seven backed up to watch yet, along with some older shows, and someone's recommended the new Claymore anime too. Need to get them all loaded on my Zen player or I'll never get round to watching them!

Not seen Samurai Champloo but I want to, but like you say, where do you get the time from to do it . Not heard of Ergo Proxy and Eureka so I'll look out for these.

Re: What Anime have you just watched?

Haven't looked into Ergo Proxy very much myself yet, but from what I've heard - and judging by your 'likes' list - it might be one to keep an eye out for. Eureka Seven is more a mecha show, but a fun one.

I like Ghibli stuff too, although I must confess I haven't felt inclined to check out Howl's Moving Castle yet. I kind of feel Miyazaki's later stuff is too personal and long winded. The last Ghibli production I really enjoyed was The Cat Returns. But then, I freely admit to preferring 'cute' over 'heavy'.

Re: What Anime have you just watched?

That's good, some series seem to peter out.

I've finally got my act together and am watching it properly, having loaded the first 12 or so eps on my Zen player and watching them through the telly. When I have them stored on the PC I always forget to watch them!
