Toshiba HD-E1 High Def player + 5 HD-DVDs £219 delivered

Found via avforums, Pixmania currently have in stock the Toshiba HD-E1 High Definition player/Upscaler for £218.90 delivered, £20 cheaper than any rival plus five free HD DVDs, including Bournce Supremacy, Million Dollar Baby and Miami Vice, easily worth £10 a film. So technically you are getting a HD player for around £170 plus five films at a tenner each

Link is:

At checkout add voucher code:awin070613

You may have to delete the extra cover option forced upon you at checkout though

Being a blu-ray fanatic, at this price I think it is worth it for the Universal catalogue, and stuff like 'Heroes series 1' so i've finally double dipped.

You know it makes sense, Dual format they only way to go! May the format war continue

I spent £450 on this baby in Feb (?) and its great for more than just Universal Back Catalogue

Matrix, Batman Begins, Casablnca (Three of the finest HiDef releases) & Smallville this year, some great imports like T2: DC, Equilibrium and upcoming Band Of Brothers also Wienstien releases Matador, Clerks II...

Also handy if you have a US PS3 to upscale your R2 DVDs as it is one of the best upscalers out.

Just remember that although it may upscale really well, it only plays R2 SD DVDs :(

Excellent been looking for one of these!

Aren't most HD DVDs region 0 though? So it won't make much difference if it is region 2 encoded

All HD-DVDs are region 0,so will play all of those, but it will only play region 2 standard DVDs, not any old region 1 standard DVDs you might own.

Think i`ll take the plunge and buy this, shame it won`t play any region 1 dvds, as i`ve loads of them, but i can just keep my present dvd player which is all region for that.

Thanks for the heads up !

Got mine today, the free dvds have French packaging, but all but one have English soundtracks.

Plus 'The Pianist' was free inside the player box, so that's two crap films plus Miami Vice, Bourne Supremacy, Pianist and Million Dollar Baby plus a free HDMI cable - great price.
