Transformers - I've just been a kid again for 2 hours

Just got back from seeing Transformers and it's absolutely brilliant!
I've been sitting in the cinema grinning and smiling for two hours

The thing I was most skeptic about going in to the theater was the design of the Transformers themselves, and sure, the Transformers mostly don't look the same as the ones I played with and watched in the mid-eighties, but it wouldn't be possible to make a movie based on those designs today. The new more "organic" look suits them well and give them all a certain "credibility".
I also enjoyed the story, and actually found it well thought out (in it's fantasy-nature).
The thing that surprised me the most though, was all the humor. Both subtle and explicit little fun things to give you a really good chuckle :)

All in all the movie is just what I thought and hoped it would be: a fun, engaging and action-packed adventure :)
I think Michael Bay pulled this one off with style, and I can't wait to see what kind of SE's they'll do for this movie on DVD

Oh, and hearing Peter Cullen doing Optimus Prime's vocie again was worth the ticket alone

Watched it last night at a special midnight screening and WOW! It is absolutely brilliant. A bit TOO much humour for me, but overall it was absolutely brilliant. It did have you Michael Bay'isms' in there, but still, he did a good job brining something to the big screen that many fans thought not possible.

Its safe to say i will going for another couple more visits to the cinema to watch this.

Saw this last night and loved it. Easily the best blockbuster this summer after a series of rather disappointing sequels. Probably gonna go see it again and definately gonna buy the DVD.

I agree with Kago, the humour suprised me, it got bigger laughs than the Simpsons!

I also saw this yesterday and thought it was fantastic, the best film i've seen at the cinema for ages. Even Megan Fox - who I can't stand, didn't annoy me. I'm someone who is not overly familiar with Transformers, and went with someone else who hadn't a clue, and we both really enjoyed it. It was a lot funnier than I expected, as others have said, and there were definitely a few moments that made you go 'Wow!', very entertaining, especially for a Michael Bay film. ;)

As a bonus, the sound went at the beginning of the film missing a bit of explanation about the cube, so we got free admission tickets as well.
