What, even worse than Moonraker! I actually didn't mind it, it was very lacking in things that make Bond, Bond, and almost felt like a filler for Casino Royale and the next film, but I still found it enjoyable.

Also seen recently Burn After Reading - very funny and quirky, just what I like, although the ending seemed to come out of nowhere, and left a few questions unanswered for me.

Eagle Eye - first half, pretty good, lots of action, but once you find out what's going on - don't want to ruin it for anyone - but it seems to ring a faint bell with another film starring Will Smith.

Saw V - It was Saw 5, enough said probably. A lot less gore and blood than the other films, embarrassingly, I actually fell asleep, that's how much it interested me.

Yep, and that was exactly my thought, too - "I can't believe its even worse than Moonraker" I didn't think that possible.

For me, every other Bond film has at least had technical expertise, even if I didn't like the tone. I thought elements of this were outright incompetence. Apparently even the crew screening was met with silence and many were angry at what Forster had done with their hard work.

But I'm glad you liked it, and I'm interested to hear what others think.

I thought it was ok. Not brilliant but I still enjoyed it. That enjoyment owed a lot to Olga Kurylenko though.

I enjoyed Quantum of Solace but it was certainly like no other Bond film i've seen. All the things that make Bond Bond were missing for me, the innuendo, the sarcasm and the Bond girls!? I absolutely loved Casino Royale because it made me think i could see how Bond was becoming the guy who we know and love from the previous films, how he became that man. Quantum of Solace seemed to have forgotten that and just wanted to show an angry man fighting his way around the world. What happened to the plot??

Despite all that, i did enjoy it as an action film as much as i would of liked see a. more jokes and b. more of bond in tiny speedos :)
For those that have seen it, the one bit that did make me chuckle was 'teachers on sabbatical' - i'd like to see more of these type of Bond jokes in the next film please

Edit: I've just also realised he had no gadgets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is bond without his gadgets???? OMG.. how can i have only just realised he had no gadgets :(

In Bruges

Really enjoyed this film. Very funny with some really witty dialogue, great acting and cinematography. Bit predictable at times but well worth watching.

Eden Lake
Great British film about a couple that go to a lake for a weekend away and get terrorised by local youths. At times is very hard to watch as it is so violent and disturbing and quite believable in todays society. Not your usual kind of ending either.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno
Kevin Smiths latest and possibly crudest to date. Lots of swearing, lots of great dialogue with some real laugh out loud funny moments. In fact it's pretty funny throughout. Not bad for what is basically a chick flick.

I watched Taken the other day, I was really impressed. A bit like Man On Fire.

Really enjoyed this, always love going to see a Xmas movie at the flicks, gets you in the festive mood, predictable at parts but still had me laughing.

Just watched Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut. This really lived up to most of the hype I've read about it. The changes make a huge difference to the film...and all of them for the good. If you've only seen the cinematic release then you are missing out on the excellent film it should have been. This one of the only Director's cuts I've seen that really did make a good film into an exceptional one. I did enjoy the original but I may never bother with it again after seeing the way it was supposed to be Well worth the £2.99p the HD-DVD disk cost me a little while ago.
