Watched Casshern today. A stunning visually pleasing peice of film. It's probably a bit to long and waffles on about how bad the world is, a typical japanese trait, but it's a good looking movie. Glad I finally got around to watching it.

Just watched the russian film Come and See.

The sheer scale and authenticity was tremendous and horrifying at the same time. There are a couple of prolonged scenes of pure terrifying noise where you just want to skip.

It's very well made and the kid in the film ages (though not in years, but appearance) as he meets and is exposed to sheer horror and violence.

I didn't find it that confusing.

Maybe the reason the Russian uncut version was trimmed down to the theatrical version I watched.

I still need to see the Russian version more than ever, to hear the original soundtrack for one!
