Charlie Wilson's War - haven't got time for much of a review, but Tom Hanks was brilliant as usual, and I quite enjoyed it, despite the fact it's not the type of film I would normally go for. Very funny as well.

Sicko - Michael Moore Documentary about the state of the US health service. I was very impressed with this and found it a real eye opener. Also made me chuckle a bit in parts and near to tears the next. Some real sad stories :(
Great documentary woth a watch :) 8/10

Last couple of nights watched -
40 Year Old Virgin (Thanks Tracey) - Much prefered Seth Rogen in this and Paul Rudd was still great. One or 2 moments made me cringe but was a good laugh to watch :) 7/10
Know it's not a film but watched the entire 1st series of 'Not going out' last night, that is one funny TV series, loving Lee Mack! 9/10

I noticed that 'Yanks' was showing yesterday on Channel 5 so made a point of watching it. It was one of the most tedious, slow- paced and uninspiring films I have ever seen. So cannot recommend it to anyone else. However, there was one very short sequence which made the whole exercise worthwhile for me. The film was shot in Lancashire, Stockport and other locations close to where I used to live. At the time, I was a student at university in need of a Summer job to earn some much needed money. I got to work as an extra on the film for 10 days. The only penalty was I had to have a short, back and sides haircut so I could play the part of a GI soldier. In one scene I watched yesterday, I was actually able to clearly spot/recognise myself jogging along in the row behind two of the lead American actors

No Country For Old Men
Quality quality film, beautiful cinematography, superb acting, brilliantly scripted. Great story. Some great suspense in there. Not quite perfect though. Potentially some Oscars coming here.
9/10
Will I buy it?
Yes but only on HD as it will look spectacular.
Atonement
Words fail me. This is the best film (including that one above) that I seen for a long time. Brilliantly acted, filmed and scripted in brilliant way I've not seen for a long time that has you aching for more. James McAvoy should be getting the Oscar for this and several more should follow. It will probably clean up at the Bafta's too.
10/10 - shame there isn't an 11.
Will I buy it?
Yes, yes, yes.

No Country For Old Men - I was very tired and feel asleep for a bit of it. I enjoyed it, but towards the end it seemed to drag, and I wanted more of a 'chase'. Felt a little disappointed to be honest.
