Re: Just watched film thread
Blade DTS (japanese)
Been saving this for our new cinema kit and having seen Blade loads of times before I just can't believe the difference the speakers and amp make. The opening nightclub scene was wow, his sword slices, even the roar of Blade's car. We were sitting the whole way through with big smiles on our faces.....................Unbelievable.
Best money I've spent in a long time, I really never thought a home cinema kit would make such a difference, would have bought it ages ago.

Glad your new set up finally arrived. I can see another Superman dvd day coming up! It is amazing how new pieces of kit improve things. I've just bought a new dvd player and the sound from it is much better than my other, never realised a dvd player could make such a difference, especially when the one it replaces was a decent one.
Btw, where did you get Blade (Jap) from? I'm resisting all Japanese ultimate editions at the moment but they're creeping up on me!

Yeah it's unbelievable.
Hmm am I that predictable ? and yes would be the answer, as I had just said last night I think Im gonna watch Superman this afternoon when I get home from work. Although I don't think my hubbie can take another viewing so soon.

Homer I got it ages ago from yesasia think it was £18 at the time (only £16.35 now delivered), always wanted it from reading comments on other forums and thought that will be the first one I watch when I get the new kit. Don't think it is an UE just 1 disc with DTS. :P

I've heard this response from someone else...I actually preferred that it was heavily featuring the end of the spanish CW.
It's a great achievement...the geek does it again

Re: Just watched film thread
A preview of Fast Food Nation.
I was rather disappointed in this. A great cast - Greg Kinear, Bruce Willis, Ethan Hawke to name just a few - but its target is easy and its points obvious, and it doesn't really work as a drama. The points are just far too laboured.
I would have hoped for more coming from Richard Linklater.
Oh, and its probably obvious, but if you are very tender-hearted towards animals, you might not want to see this - its very graphic!

Sahara
Despite the bad reviews I really enjoyed this, quite good fun and some great scenery too, plus a shirtless Matthew McConaughey is another .
Good sound on the R3 too.
