Watched Road to Perdition on Saturday night.
I know it's a few years old now and I'm a bit behind the times but I was put off this by a mate of mine who has normally similar tastes, he said it was slow, boring and too long.
I have to disagree.
I really enjoyed it, the pace was just right, the acting was great and it looked good too.
8 / 10

oh yeh , also see SAW 2 the other night, a bit disappointed really , no where as good as the first one , and thought it was almost a bit dull in places.

Watched 'House of Wax' today. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised by this popcorn flick.
Obviously most of it was a pile of pants but that's the norm for this genre but I enjoyed most of it.
Paris Hilton ...what an actress!

Watched The Butterfly Effect which I thought was good but they could've done so much more with it. (7.5/10)
...and A Very Long Engagement which I thought was a brilliant film, then again I am slightly biased being a big Jeunet fan. (9/10)

I liked the butterfly effect, but the critics absolutely slaughtered it.
You're right though - could have been a whole lot better. It's my type of film though.

Thouroughly enjoyed Mrs Henderson Presents - better than I expected, not quite as twee.
Dissapointed in Flightplan. I mostlyenjoyed it as it unfolded, very well made, but, as others have pointed out elsewhere, the plot just doesn't make sense in retrospect, and, for me, this kind of "mystery" film needs a good, (more or less) airtight solution. Here, the resolution doesn't seem logical at all.
Off to The Constant Gardener tonight.
