I watched the Stepford wives about a week ago (had gotten it free with HMV order for Desperate Housewives!) and was not very impressed considering the actors that were starring in it! Still at least it wasnt over long and sure I can find someone to give the DVD to for a Christmas present
It's an old phrase, but;

"an actors only as good as their material"

The exorism of Emily Rose

not as scary as I thought but the whole mood was spoiled by a group of giggling teenagers 2 rows back who were laughing at everything

Finally got round to watching The Amityville Horror remake ...wish I hadn't now. It was awful

Doesn't matter how many people told me so, I still had to sit through it ...it's a film buff's duty

Yeah, I erm..saw Saw a couple of weeks ago, and I never spotted that coming either. Quite a good film, not as good as Seven in my opinion but enjoyable. Love the bit with the girl and the helmet where the key is inside the unconcious guys body. Very twisted!

Last night, I was stuck in so I watched Doctor Who - City Of Death (best Who story ever!) followed by Vincent Price in The Abominable Dr Phibes, which is very odd and could easily have been made by Tim Burton due to the general weirdness of it all and the exquisite designs.

Don't think I've posted very often in this thread but I have recently watched:

Charlie & The Chocolate Factory ***/***** Quite good, still prefer the original though.

A-Team Season 1 (Disc 1) ***.5/***** Who was that impostor playing Face in the pilot?

Equilibrium *.5/***** This was a stupidly poor movie, a mush of so many better films diluted down into nothingness. :?

Samurai Rebellion *****/***** One of the best samurai movies ever made. 8)

Onibaba ****/***** Still a really stunning film, hasn't really aged a day.

War Of The Worlds (2005 Edit) ****/***** I was going to give it 3 stars but it gets an extra one for the DTS on the DVD - this is what made the film in my opinion, it really should win some awards for sound editing. It had a ropey last 30 mins though, but apart from that it was enjoyable.
