"I'd buy that for a dollar" in Trading Places?

When Dan Akyroyd is possibly dressed as Santa - I seem to recall it was on a TV in a shop window.

I know it's uttered throughout Robocop but when it was mentioned at work I instantly thought of Trading Places.

Or am I imaging it?

It's in Robocop, particularly when they're wandering down the street blasting stuff with the ridiculously large guns. I think you're confusing it with the fact that the bet in Trading Places is for one dollar.

Nah def not confusing it - only Robocop a couple of times and I've seen Trading Places loads. I'm sure its on a TV screen with an old bloke saying the line surrounded my lots of busty women and Dan Akyroyd is looking in in his Santa outfit.

The bit you are thinking about is still Robocop.

It's when they are standing in front of a TV store, with some big rocket launchers, and some guy pulls up in his car. The guy with the rocket launcher blows the car up, and the guy on the TV screen (an old guy surrounded by busty girls) says "I'd buy that for a dollar" or something.
