Bond 22 - Title Revealed

Bond 22 will now be called

Quantum Of Solace

I don't like the sound of it, doesn't sound much like a Bond film...

It is however the title of one of the Ian Fleming short stories, so if anything is in keeping with bond then this title is ;) Bond doesn't appear much in that story though so I'm guessing it's been altered quite a bit

I like the title. I've been saying ever since The Living Daylights that this was the best of the remaining Fleming titles and I hoped they would use it. It seems to suit the likely tone of this one. But I'm aware, after discussing it with friends over the years that some people hate it.

I think it would be better as "A Quantum of Solace" though. I think it should have the "A", although it doesn't seem to. (A friend pointed out that, as it is, it sounds like its about someone called Quantum, from somewhere called Solace).

Still, I like it. But I would like that "A"!

I think the reason it's not a very liked title is that it involves the word Quantum, and that makes the general public think "oh my god science, it's going to be like star trek or something, damn nerds" rather than imagine the usual suave Bond surrounded by explosions and women. I do agree it sounds better with an 'A' though

I'm digging the title.

Marc Forster has made good and crap films, so it's an interesting choice.
