All good things come to an end, some good things dont know when to end and end up going from blockbuster series to fizzled out ratings flops the key is to end on a high and not milk the popularity. sadly these days ratings = money for TV companies so they rarely let a ratings winning series end when theres a couple of seasons worth of ratings left in it even if it means the series dies instead of ends.
I love lost, but even I have so much patience, Id rather have 4 or 5 good series and a conclusion than 5 good series and 2 more just to stretch it out a bit and the possibility of a cancellation halfway thru the 7th series due to falling ratings and once loyal fans saying enough is enough (kinda like the x files which I loved but went downhill after season 3 for me. I saw a bit of season 3 but then nothing from later seasons, Id hate that to happen to lost)
Lost fans need answers, but not all the answers hurried into the last few episodes of a rushed final season. Lost is in danger of losing fans by leaving more questions before its given any answers... (monster/security system ... polar bears... Black Rock ... where all the wild boar are..surely Locke hasnt killed em all lol ..just some of the first season questions still unanswered)
As I said Lost will end, but I hope its with a bang and not a whimper :wink:
