Sometimes the packaging says NTSC for a couple of reasons, it may be a Combo disc with the Standard Def version on the other side (which is NTSC) or the marketing/design people just take the info from the cover of the old DVD and pay no attention to the small detail

Bit there is no NTSC/PAL for Hi_Def :wink:
As for gettings players chipped, its difficult at the mo as the players rely on Firmware updates downloaded from t'internet. I am sure some sort of Hack/Chip will eventually arrive but may be a while

Not heard that myself, there have been a few problematic discs from the US, mainly Combos (HD one side-SD other side) and Weinstein discs but these have the same problems on US machines as UK ones and have pretty much been sorted by Firmware update. Some French Studio Canal discs also had problems on UK/US machines but again Firmware sorted it. Perils of a new tech I guess
