Anyone got the Toshiba HD-E1 HD-DVD player?

It's pretty cheap (+/-150 GBP) here in the Netherlands, and I'm thinking of getting it. Don't have a 1080p TV (720p) so the lack of 1080 is not a prob at the moment.

I could also go for a bit cheaper 360 addon, but prefer a standalone player. So if anyone has it share your experiences please :)

Had mine for 8/9 months now and its been absolutely great, upgraded from the 360 Drive.

Played about 170 discs and only had probs with about 3 of them, these errors were corrected by the next firmware update.

I too only have a 1080i display so the lack of 1080p didnt concern me.

I found the 360 drive great, tbh very little difference in the PQ between the two but I find the audio on the E1 better, and its quiter than the 360 ;)

Just been reading around these players as my dvd player has died - the new toshiba Ep30 is going to be released near the end of october/early november which is the next model up from this for £199 ish - think I might get one
