Re: dvd profiler 3.0 help
I think the time has come to streamline my dvd collection and get rid of some of them. Is there a way, on either the new or old profiler, to copy a list of my titles to save me typing them all out?

You can't access 2.4 now it's been taken over. I've had the same problem, my log in details won't work unless i re register.

Re: dvd profiler 3.0 help
Yeha I was annoyed about no online list unless you pay, but that's only for showing off anyway ;) Still works perfectly fine for reminding me which dvd i actually own so I don't buy them again. Sadly i don't think there will be a crack for the online feature, as it as far as I can tell, is linked to your login, not the program, so you'd have to go and hack their servers and add yoruself in as a paid member

Re: dvd profiler 3.0 help
Nice collection there rev. I like it when people put links to their collections in their sigs. I've noticed a couple of films that I've loved but missed by looking through other peoples collections.
I think the current owners are trying to make more of a comercial success out of it. I knew loads of people that were happy to use DVDprofiler but not upgrade. I used it free for a couple of years myself and then fancied ome of the extra features and the high res cover images so coughed up and it's been well worth it. It's also good for insurance purposes. My house insurance were happy that I had a record of all my DVDs, also they can see when it was last updated so they know you haven't gone and added a load after the event.

true about the insurance, but what if you havent updated it and you sold a lot of dvds?
thats why ive not bothered with dvd profiler for ages - most of the dvds i had are gone - when you take out the wrestling dvds and steelbooks, im down to under 200 dvds. and this is from someone who had 1000s two years ago. and when i say about 200 dvds, thats no individual items, that means 6 dvds in 1 boxset counts as 6 dvds. and since most of my dvds are boxsets its about 50 items. scary lol.

I guess the insurance would have a hard time with that. I think it's up to you to be honest and remember which you'd sold. If my collection was ever pinched I certainly couldn't name them all so this would at least provide a reminder of what I had.
For me it's pretty easy with the insurance as I'd still have the DVD cases up in the loft. Didn't want racks and racks of shelving filled with DVD cases so I take the discs out and put them alphabetically in CaseLogic CD cases that take 280 discs per case (currently up to 4, but need to get a 5th!).
There was a question earlier about DVDProfiler outputting a list of your titles. You can do this under 'Tools' and 'Reports' and then there's a simple listing which should just output a list of your titles.

this has now been updated to 3.11 - and hack been hacked in that ive gotten a registration code to get the better pics etc, but it still wont let me upload my collection to the internet - the whole point was so i could have a record for insurance purposes.

Sadly any online features will have to be paid for unlessy ou can hack into their online server and setup your upload account. I'm tempted to upgrade as it's a fairly small one off payment, not that I really know which of the paidfor features I'd really use lol would be nice ot update my sig link though ;)
