The "is this film any good" thread

Because I am a tight git I prefer to get some expert opinions prior to purchase. Rather than creating new threads every week I decided that I would pose all my questions right here from now on.

Of course , if anybody else wishes to use it then they are also more than welcome.

So.. #1
A Very Long Engagement... is this any good?
Some strong reviews.. just not so keen on the french lingo

Even the cheap to buy ex rental price is still the same as AJ or wow price.

Bought it from WHSmith. The only shop in my local town I bothered to look in bar Blockbuster (they didnt have it for rent). £5.99

I can live with that. Seriously cannot remember the last time that I have bought a DVD from a shop and paid at the till before today

It was a very good film but not quite excellent.
Amelie is definitely worth a look...once you get over the language barrier, you open countless unmissable french films.
The boy povey will back me up on this one...city of lost children is a good jeunet film to watch...it's around £6.99 I saw somewhere recently.
