Everybody loves Raymond.. opinions?

Saw a bit of this when in Florida...
Was actually pretty amusing :) Is it worth getting a couple of Seasons on DVD?
And if so.. are the newer series the better ones? I assume that the are?

I love Everybody Loves Raymond! Just recieved season 7 and watched it all within 2 days. Great show. Like with pretty much any show, watching it from the beginning is always the best thing to do, however, just like something like Friends, you can also quite easily watch an episode by itself and understand what is going on. It's great early on, but I think if you are just going for one season, maybe one in the middle like season 4 or 5. You can't go wrong really with whatever season you get. :)

Well its £18 per season at HMV (1-5, with 6 a £26 pre-order).
Figured its worth getting 2, and then utilising a £5 voucher

Yeh, go for season 1 and 2 then, and steadily build up your collection. It would make more sense when you come to later episodes. Let me know which ones you get and what you think of them. I never really got into it until about a year and a half ago when it was on early in the morning on channel 4, which it is again now. Brought season 1 and never looked back!

My girlfriend has been watching it a bit (E4 or something on Freeview).
Any idea what series they may have been showing over the last 6 months?

Everybody loves Raymond? On freeview, the only channel that they air it on is channel 4. They were showing it on channel 4 or Friday nights, but I don't think they do any more. They also air it on the Paramount Comedy channel on Sky.

Mg, when you've got some time you'll have to sit down and watch a few episodes. I honestly used to hate it, because I was a massive Friends fan (overly obsessive), and when it came to award ceremonies, Everybody Loves Raymond used to beat Friends on several occasions (yes, I was very sad, but this was quite a few years back ), then when I actually sat down and watched it, I could see why it did.
