DVD Storage

Me and the other half are in the process of trying to sell our flat at the monent and she has decided that my 400 plus strong DVD collection is not a good selling point (can't think why though!)

My DVDs are therefore being banished to the garage for a few months. Can anyone recommend any strong (and cheap) storage boxes suitable for DVDs?

Think I might need a few!

Would it be better to put them all in cardboard boxes, and get one of those 'cheap' outdoor storage box things that argos n places do? It's just a metal box you have to put together that's got a lock on it so it's not easy to break into. I'm not sure how much they are thought

Other than that Ikea, Tesco and i think Asda all sell plastic stacking boxes that would keep them dry. Expecially if you get the ones with the lids on.

Prices go from a couple of quid up to about £10 but those boxes are massive.

I've got about 4 or 5 "seal" boxes at present that I got from Wilkinsons and Focus - cost about £3 or £4 each. Cheap and stackable.

Go Ikea, buy a book case and just stick them all in that. Dirt cheap and won't take up much room.

Ikea's "Billy" bookcases are deep enough to store the discs two deep (as are some other, cheaper ones - you need abot 30cm). Not so convenient, but halfs the appearance right away.

Thanks to everyone who gave their suggestions.

Aren't there products you van buy that are supposed to suck the moisture/dampness out of the air - like those little packets of crystals you find in shoe boxes - or are they for something else?

May have to try to find somewhere else to put them other than the garage.
