Howdy people.

It's my mates birthday (well it was on 8th Sept ) and I want to get him a dvd boxset. He's into the second world war and Vietnam, so factual docs would be cool. As I've never looked into these dvd's I'm clueless as to what's out there and what's good ...or bad. :?

Any help will be appreciated.

Blunty, which version did you have? Criterion or R2?

I think I'm going the vietnam route so any dvd or book recommendations, please.

There's is a R2 but I've gone for the Criterion.

One of the hardest to find is The 10'000 day war. It's a double disc set and covers the war from it's start by the French in the 1930's.
It's what The World At War is to WW2. It took me months to find my copy so unforunatley you'll just have to try and get lucky on eBay.
