If you can't find your model of DVD Player on at least one of these sites, then chances are it can't be made multi-region without a special chip being placed in it - given the low prices of easily-modifiable or pre-modified DVD players today, it's quite possible that it could be more economical to buy a new player, rather than have an existing one chipped (unless it's a really expensive model). Panasonic and Toshiba (and most of the big electronics firms) players in particular are notoriously difficult or impossible to make region-free without a chip.

Does anyone know if a "proline 1400" dvd player exists or if there is ahack for it? Becaues for the life of me i cant find it... Got an ebayer asking if they can make their player multiregion and i cant find mention of the player existing let alone a hack

After much web searching I can find no reference to this model number, which suggests to me it doesn't exist - is your customer certain they have the make and model correct?

Think i came to the same conclusion - i could see a proline 1000 or 2000 - personally i had never heard of proline. But they dont seem very keyed up on technology to be honest so theyve probably made a mistake.

Likewise I could only find a DVD1000 and a DVD2000 - no DVD1400.
