The main reason for this is to try and reward members - our previous competitions have been open to guests, and we get a HUGE number of entries from non-members. Because of this, most of the prizes are won by people who don't give a monkeys about HDB, and just come along for the competition.

I like the philosophy behind that. Hopefully the members-only competitions might encourage more people to sign up and contribute too, as well as encouraging more posts from existing members.

It must be so hard to get a forum with a high profile and regular frequent posters, i'm so glad i dont run one lol sorry Wilko

Nice idea, but i think there has to be a bit more choice on the prize especially when this month prize on offer will only appeal for so many people. If I by chance I would win this month frankly don't want the prize on offer lol. I much pefer to see a 5 pound voucher or at least alternative dvd.

Sorry for sound a bit of an ass, but the competition is trying to encourage more activity on the forum and I think 5 pound voucher or bit more choice on the dvd on offer will increase activity in this completion a lot more.

On another note also wilko, it look like axelmusic are finially doing a Affiliate scheme.

Thanks for the comments - the format of the prize draw is still in an "experimental" stage, so you may well be right - we'll maybe play with it a little for next month's draw.
